Originally from the Aquila area, this traditional salami is now produced throughout the Abruzzo region and imitated in other parts of Italy. Until the 1960s, its production was entirely homemade; today, modern machinery is used while preserving the generational secrets of its craftsmanship. The origins of this salami likely date back to the Gothic and Lombard shepherds who settled in our mountains.
With its distinctive flat shape, carefully selected meats, and natural casing, the Aquila Salami is a premium product exported worldwide. Its finely ground texture and unmistakably sweet flavor make it our best-selling salami.
The current recipe faithfully reflects Nonno Marino's tradition, with unchanged proportions and ingredients ensuring a consistently excellent product.
